​​IVECO vehicles are used all over the world. We design, manufacture and sell a huge range of light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles for on and off-road use.

​Ensuring that our customers acquire the right vehicle to meet their needs is our goal. We use our vehicle configurator and our mission configurator to help them choose exactly the right van or truck for their businesses.

With over 150 years’ of experience, IVECO​​ has been committed to creating safe, efficient and sustainable vehicles. We are the only producer offering ecological diesel and natural gas engines on all of our range, and were the first commercial vehicle manufacturer to make a substantial investment in natural gas, developing engines optimized to use CNG.​​

HISTORY

1903

​Driving the future: Fiat produces its first commercial vehicle.​

1929

Fiat decides to separate its truck business from automobiles and founds Fiat Veicoli Industriali.​

1934

OM, a manufacturer of cars, trucks and agricultural machines, becomes part of Fiat Group.​

1966

UNIC, a French manufacturer of trucks, is acquired by Fiat.​

1969

Lancia Veicoli Industriali, a producer of trucks, buses and defence vehicles, is acquired by Fiat.​

1974

Fiat becomes the majority shareholder of Magirus Deutz, a German bus, tuck and fire equipment manufacturer.​

1975

IVECO​ is founded as a result of a series of acquisitions of Fiat Veicoli Industriali, OM, UNIC, Magirus Deutz and Lancia Veicoli Speciali.

1986

Acquisition of the Italian Astra di Piacenza company, a specialist in heavy quarrying and mining equipment.​

1986

​​IVECO​ S.p.A. holds a 52% stake in IVECO Ford Truck Ltd, a joint venture (and effectively a merger) with Ford of Europe's truck division.​

1990

IVECO​ acquires Spanish commercial vehicles company Pegaso.​

1991

IVECO​ acquires British company Seddon Atkinson.

1992

​IVECO​ takes over the primary constructor of industrial vehicles in Australia to form Ital, originally called International Trucks Australia. In 2000 it was renamed IVECO​ Trucks Australia Limited.​

1996

​​IVECO​ establishes the Naveco joint venture with NAC in China.​

1997

​IVECO​ enters the Latin American market in Brazil.​

1999

​Irisbus is founded following the merger of the bus and coach divisions of IVECO​ and Renault. IVECO​ has a 50% share.

2003

IVECO​ acquires the remaining share of the Irisbus business.​

2006

The Naveco Chinese joint venture integrates Yuejin Motor Corporation.​

2007

​IVECO establishes a joint venture with SAIC to form SAIC-IVECO​ Hongyan. IVECO has a 33% share.​

2011

​​IVECO​ activities are demerged from Fiat S.p.A and IVECO​ becomes part of Fiat Industrial, the demerged Capital Goods arm of Fiat Group.

2013

The road to success:​ CNH Industrial is formed, following the merger of Fiat Industrial and CNH Global N.V.​

2015

​​​​IVECO​ delivers its 1,000th​ natural gas vehicle in France.​

2015

​IVECO​ celebrates its 40th​ anniversary.​​

2016

​​​​IVECO​ deploys semi-automated trucks for the first European Truck Platooning Challenge.​

​​​​IVECO​ triumphs at the 2016 Dakar Rally​

​​The Argentinian edition of the international publication Transporte Mundial chose the IVECO Hi-Way as the "Best Truck 2016", just one year after the launch of the model in the country.​​​

European Gas Awards of Excellence 2017 - Project of the Year

IVECO Stralis NP, the first natural gas truck for long-haul operations, has been voted “Project of the Year” at the European Gas Awards of Excellence 2017, during the European Gas Conference, the annual meeting for the European gas industry, held in Vienna, Austria (from 23 to 25 January 2017)

​For IVECO​'s Daily - light-duty truck

Under the patronage of The National Automotive Association of Chile (ANAC), national newspaper La Tercera and 16 specialized media awarded the title of “2016 Best Commercial Vehicle” to the New Daily at the 9th edition of the prize ceremony. The finalists in each category were submitted to a final test drive at the Autódromo Internacional racetrack in Codegua, near Santiago, on 28 December 2015 (Chile)
