By participating in two events of national and international scope, CNH Industrial (NYSE: CNHI / MI: CNHI) has reinforced its position at the forefront of the ongoing debate concerning the future of agriculture. The first was a book launch held on Wednesday March 14 in Milan, Italy for “Future Energy, Future Green,” published by Mondadori, to which the company contributed a paper on autonomous driving in the agricultural sector. The second event took place on Saturday March 17, during the Green Economy Festival in Trento, Italy. Speeches made by Francesca Protano, Connected Services Marketing Manager for CNH Industrial, a speaker at both meetings, highlighted the Company's work in promoting the sustainable and digital development of agriculture.

During the presentation of the book “Future Energy, Future Green,” organized by Fondazione ISTUD under the auspices of the Italian Ministry of the Environment, Ms. Protano illustrated the significant progress made by CNH Industrial in developing both autonomous and biogaspowered agricultural vehicles. In particular, the use of tractors that run on alternative fuels (particularly biomethane) fits perfectly with the concept of the circular economy, in which farms will be able to meet their energy needs using waste products and thereby reducing wastage, consumption and emissions.

In addition, the innovative connectivity technologies, incorporated into the company’s latestgeneration agricultural machinery, were presented during the Green Economy Festival in Trento. This event is part of Sustainability Week (from March 13 to 18), which was inaugurated by the Italian Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni. On this occasion, Ms. Protano illustrated how big data and advanced connectivity, combining information from different players in the agricultural ecosystem, can improve the sector’s efficiency and sustainability by providing innovative services to farmers. The meeting was attended by national and international experts, entrepreneurs and, above all, young researchers and PhD students from the field of agriculture.
