CNH PLANT IN BURLINGTON GETS HIGH HONOR

BURLINGTON, Iowa

(October 9, 2006) - CNH Case New Holland said its plant here was recognized by the Burlington area Chamber of Commerce as the top manufacturer of 2006.

"We are pleased by this award," said Steve Van Zant, plant manager who accepted the plaque on behalf of the company. "We were honored based on recently created jobs at the plant, investment into the future of the facility with new state-of-the-art welding technology and ongoing product development, as signified by the U.S. Army specialized backhoe and the related multi-year contract. In addition, local, county and state - along with federal programs - invested in our future with economic incentives for achieving our vision in terms of growth."

The 950,000-square-foot plant, whose roots go back to 1937, employs 446 workers who produce construction equipment, including tractor loader backhoes, industrial wheel fork lifts and loader landscapers.

Production includes distinct models in the Case and New Holland brand lineup.
