RACINE, Wis. – July 16, 2007 – CNH (Case New Holland) has signed "Green Racine," the nation's first county-wide proclamation to embrace a "green" campaign to positively impact employee health and the environment.

"CNH welcomes the "Green Racine" effort which emphasizes our commitment to the environment as seen in similar programs, including the innovative and world-renowned biodiesel technologies we offer our customers," explained Gualberto Ranieri, vice president - communications for CNH. "We plan to continue investigating green concepts for our nine facilities in Racine where we employ approximately 2,000 employees."

"Racine County is delighted that CNH is joining other major county businesses as well as local governments in making a commitment to Clean Racine," said Bill McReynolds, county executive. "CNH has always been a strong community partner, and this is just one more example of its concern for our county and its people."

Racine Mayor Gary Becker said, "We are proud of the fact that the city and county of Racine is the first community in the nation to make such a declaration. With the publishing of a proclamation, implementation under way in Racine and with the help of companies like CNH, the next phase of the Green Community movement is to take this to other communities in Wisconsin and across the nation as a model for change at the community level."

"Racine-area companies and other organizations are finding green-cleaning to be both effective and cost-efficient at improving facilities and positively impacting employee health and safety while reducing the impact on the environment," explained Jeff Neubauer, CEO, Kranz Inc., and one of the founders of the coalition behind the program.

The list of participants is 30 strong and includes local businesses, government agencies, schools and universities, medical facilities, environmental groups and churches.
