CNH EXECUTIVE MARTENAS HONORED WITH PRESTIGIOUS SAE ENGINEERING AWARD

BURR RIDGE, Ill. - (October 9, 2008) - Wayne Martenas, a 34-year veteran of CNH (Case New Holland) and its predecessor companies, has won the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Sid Olsen Engineering Executive of the Year award. Formal recognition of the award was made Wednesday, Oct. 8 during the SAE Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress & Exhibition in Rosemont, IL.
The award recognizes individuals who use their engineering and interpersonal skills to achieve field-proven products or services, successful protégés, develop outstanding teams, have unquestioned integrity and charismatic leadership and who create a supportive environment allowing a customer/product focus. Established in 1995, the award honors Sid A. Olsen, an SAE fellow who championed the off-highway industry.
Martenas, who is based in Burr Ridge, IL, recently became the Tier 4 Product Development Project Leader for agriculture and construction machinery at CNH. Prior to that he was Vice President for System and Component Development within the Agricultural Product Development team, including drivelines, engine installation, cabs and operator platforms, electrical and electronics, hydraulics, design analysis, precision farming/auto guidance and innovation. He also was recently responsible for coordination of PD activities in India, China and Latin America.
