CAROL STREAM, ILL - (September 19, 2008) - New Holland Construction donated the use of a B95B backhoe loader and two skid steer loaders - an L180 and an L175 - to lime and landscape areas of Arlington National and Historic Congressional cemeteries in Washington, D.C., for the annual Renewal & Remembrance Environmental Enhancement Project organized by the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET).
This year the project saw hundreds of lawn care, landscape and tree care companies from across the nation bring crews to Arlington cemetery to enhance the beauty of the national cemetery grounds.
The volunteers made the most of the New Holland equipment to remove plants and trees from a 700 square foot planter bed, dispose of the discarded plants, bring in fresh soil and prepare the area for replanting. New Holland Construction dealer Gaithersburg Equipment Company of Gaithersburg, MD, provided support throughout the operation.
