The contract hand-over ceremony between GT Group and New Holland Agriculture will take place during a two-day event from March 26 to 27, in Tiblisi, Georgia's capital.
On March 26, a press conference was held to celebrate this important event; Tom Davies, New Holland Business Director for Central Asia - Caucasus, Oguz Kuran, New Holland Business Manager for Caucasus, together with GT Group's top management were in attendance.
On March 27, New Holland product specialists will present a selection of machines from New Holland's range, one of the largest product offerings in the industry with more than 320 models in 15 segments. The product presentation will focus on tractors above and below 100 horsepower including the market leading range of specialist tractors for orchard and vineyard applications, combine harvesters and hay tools, and of course, the worldwide top-selling New Holland grape harvesters. Invitees attending the presentation will include officials from the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture, representatives from the various agencies committed to help and support the development of agriculture in Georgia, along with more than 50 customers.
GT Group LTD will be representing New Holland Agriculture with sales and after sales activities, which will be further developed in the coming months, to sustain the growth of the Georgian farming sector. Their service facility in Tbilisi will initially provide after sales services to farmers. In addition, specially equipped service vehicles are ready to guarantee assistance to the farmers throughout the country.
"The partnership with New Holland is very important for our country, because there is a lack of agricultural equipment and service for such kinds of machines in Georgia", says Levan Gogsadze, General Director of GT Group Ltd. "In 2009, we are committed, with our partner, to opening two service centers for New Holland agricultural machines in the Kakheti and Imereti regions of Georgia, where we will also sell New Holland products and provide customers with high-quality service."
GT Group Ltd., founded in 2005, is a holding company with a wide range of business activities covering Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan. The company's core business is in the automotive industry and encompasses almost every segment.
The two-day event will provide the perfect opportunity, through a special lottery, to invite a number of guests to visit New Holland facilities in Europe in order to experience firsthand the quality, reliability and innovation that have secured New Holland's illustrious place in the history of the agricultural mechanization.
"With this operation, we believe we can contribute to agricultural growth in Georgia. We have the resources, the right products and the professional skills to do just that", says Tom Davies, New Holland Business Director for Central Asia - Caucasus. "We are very pleased with this partnership with GT Group and we are willing to work closely with our new distributor to do all that is necessary to provide best-in-class solutions for the needs of the farmers throughout the country. Being part of a global and leading company in the agricultural industry allows us to provide a complete set of solutions tailored for every agricultural sector's needs: from the products and the technical support to financial assistance. Georgia's main economic activities include the cultivation of agricultural products. With only 3% of land permanently dedicated to crops and 11% arable land, Georgia has a promising potential for growth and could greatly benefit from agricultural mechanization in order to increase its economic development".
