​With vehicles including urban and inter-city buses as well as tourism coaches, minibuses and chassis for bodybuilders worldwide, IVECO​ BUS supplies some of the biggest names in public transport.

Formed from a merger of the bus divisions of two of the biggest names in the industry, IVECO and Renault, IVECO BUS, with its focus on innovation, advanced technology and best in class manufacturing processes is a name that inspires confidence.

At IVECO BUS, we place particular emphasis on the sustainability of our vehicles, looking closely at environmental impact, passenger comfort and operating costs.

HISTORY

1906

Renault produces its first bus.​

1907

Fiat produces its first bus.​

1975

IVECO​ is founded as a result of a series of acquisitions of Fiat Veicoli Industriali, OM and Lancia Veicoli Speciali (Italy), UNIC (France) and Magirus Deutz (Germany).​

1990

​​IVECO​ acquires top Spanish commercial vehicle company Pegaso.​

1996

​Renault VI, whose bus division would later be merged with IVECO​'s, acquires a majority holding in the Czech bus manufacturer Karosa.​

1998

Heuliez Bus, a French bus manufacturer, becomes a subsidiary of Renault VI.​

1999

​Creation of Irisbus (IVECO​ 50%, Renault VI 50%).

2003

​IVECO​ acquires Renault's share in Irisbus.​

2011

IVECO's activities are demerged from Fiat S.p.A and IVECO​ becomes part of Fiat Industrial, the demerged Capital Goods arm of Fiat Group.​

2013

The IVECO​ BUS brand is established.​

2013

​The road to success: CNH Industrial is formed, following the merger of Fiat Industrial and CNH Global N.V.

2014

​IVECO​ BUS, the CNH Industrial brand dedicated to collective passenger transport, arrives in Brazil.​​

SUSTAINABLE BUS OF THE YEAR 2020

IVECO BUS wins the 'Sustainable Bus of the Year' award for the third consecutive year with the Crossway Natural Power in the interurban category.

The Crossway Natural Power is equipped with a latest-generation 360 hp natural gas engine. The compressed gas tanks which are integrated into the roof, an exclusive, patented feature, optimize the vehicle's center of gravity for greater on-road stability and increases comfort for both driver and passengers.

SUSTAINABLE BUS OF THE YEAR 2019

​​For new CREALIS Electric Bus in the ‘Urban’ category.
​​​The award was conferred during the opening day of the IAA Commercial Vehicles Trade Show in Hannover on September 2018. The jury was composed of representatives from seven leading European bus trade magazines.

2018 PUBLIC TRANSPORT INNOVATION AWARD

​The Urbanway natural power range and Crealis electric range recognized in the "Move Green" Energy-Environment category. The award was conferred at the opening day of European Mobility Week, held in June in Paris.​

SUSTAINABLE BUS OF THE YEAR 2018

For new Crossway Low Entry Natural Power in the ‘Intercity’ category. 

This vehicle was awarded for its multiple qualities of which its smart design integrating tanks on the roof, its autonomy up to 600 km and its Cursor 9 NP engine particularly environmentally friendly. 

The Crossway LE NP introduces a new sustainable standard for urban and suburban missions.

For the Crealis

The winners were announced during the 24th edition of the biannual bus and coach exhibition Busworld Europe.

2017 INTERNATIONAL BUS & COACH COMPETITION (IBC)

For the Crossway Low Entry.

The Crossway LE was voted the best of the competitors for its driveline, its manoeuvrability, its comfort and its total cost of ownership.

International Minibus of the Year 2017
